Seasonal Meyer lemons are just the thing Dr. Winter ordered to brighten up heavy meals during this time of year! Tart with a slight sweetness and sparkling bubbles are sure to bring freshness to your winter table!
Usually sold in bags rather than individually makes it easy to stir up a full pitcher of deliciousness!
And only a few ingredients needed!
Sparkling Meyer Lemon Limeade (yield 2 quarts)
6-8 Meyer lemons (1 cup juice)
1/2 cup simple syrup* or agave nectar
32 oz. sparkling water or lemon/lime soda - chilled
Meyer lemon/lime slices for garnish
*to make simple syrup bring equal parts sugar/water to boil unti sugar dissolves-2-3 minutes. Cool.
Squeeze lemons/limes enough to make 1 cup. Add simple syrup or agave nectar. Stir. Chill. Just before serving add sparkling water.
Serve over ice, garnish with lemon/lime slices, and add a few festive drinking straws. Cheers!
