16 oz. white American cheese, cut into 1 inch cubes (purchase white American cheese at deli counters in block style-not "cheese product" but real cheese!)

4oz. Monterey or Pepper Jack cheese, cut into 1 inch cubes

2 Tbsp. butter

2/3 cup whole milk

1 cup My Brother’s Salsa – choose from Original, House, New Mexican Green Chile or Fire Roasted varieties

Optional garnish:  additional salsa,  chopped cilantro, scallions, or red onion.

Salsa con American Queso  (yield 4 cups

In medium sauce pan add all ingredients*.  Over low heat, stirring occasionally, heat until all cheese melts.  Garnish. Serve hot with warm My Brother’s Corn Tortilla Chips or use as a cheese sauce on burgers, enchiladas, tacos, grilled meats.  

*Optional:  Butter a slow cooker, add all ingredients, cook on low til melty.  Keep warm to serve.
